"LFHS Students Will 'Enjoy the Journey' Monday Morning

The Emotional Wellness Walk  "Enjoy the Journey" will be held at 9:50 a.m. May 21.

Students will be walking with their third period classes and teachers. They will follow a two-mile route that loops north into Lake Bluff and then south to end the walk along the front drive of the high school. Following the walk, a celebration will be held on the front lawn. Students will enjoy music, games and treats during their normally scheduled lunch periods (10:40 a.m. to 1:20 p.m.). The fun on the lawn will end at the close of sixth period (1:20 p.m.).  The community can learn more about how to support and donate to further this vision of “Enjoy the Journey,” at www.lfhs.org.

In 2006, LFHS embarked on an Emotional Wellness Initiative with the goal of building a more unified and supportive school community. Students and teachers will take a break to enjoy some time together as well as give thanks to retiring faculty and graduating seniors. Students have chosen “Enjoy the Journey” as the theme for this year’s emotional wellness walk.
