Presenting a Professional Image

In today’s employment market and diverse workplace, your actions and motives are constantly being examined. People are watching you and your behaviors and are forming judgments about your competence, confidence and contributions.  Do you know what interviewers, networkers, your boss, colleagues, direct reports, peers, clients and other key stakeholders are saying about you when you are not in the room?  Manage your own professional image before others do it for you and see how doing so can improve your job search success, benefit your career and the perception others have of you.   In this session you will learn:



  • How to present a confident and positive professional image

  • The 6 components of credibility and why they are important for career success

  • Ways that appearance and professional attire can enhance credibility

  • The role body language and non-verbal cues play in strengthening your professional image


     Presented by Suzanne Coonan, an experienced human resources leader, consultant and coach who helps successful business professionals reach the next level in their career and life. She has nearly 20 years of experience in HR, most recently as VP of HR at an MBA school. Currently Suzanne provides HR consulting as well as leadership development and career coaching to experienced business professionals.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior from Northwestern University, is a certified coach, and is pursuing her Master’s degree in Positive Organization Development & Change at Case Western Reserve University.
