Board-certified and fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon, Bruce Summerville, MD will discuss the latest advancements in joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder.  Topics to be covered include alternative bearings and designs for total hip replacement, hip resurfacing, total and partial knee replacement, as well as options for treatment of the arthritic shoulder including total and reverse shoulder replacement.   Successful implant designs and recalled devices will be reviewed.   New surgical techniques and hospital inpatient care at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital’s Joint Center will also be presented.
