Scouts’ Star Performer: Freshman Evan Boudreaux tied senior John Hayes for team-high scoring honors with 13 points each.

Other Notable Scout Performances: Next best scorer was Carter Bass, who had five first-half points but then collected his fourth foul within the first few minutes of the third quarter and did not score again.

The Bottom Line: The Scouts (3-3, 0-1) remained in this North Suburban Coference Lakes game despite just four points from Thomas Durrett, who was averaging in double figures and had 19 in his last outing. His three-point attempt at the buzzer fell short after Milik Yarbrough hit one of two free throws with six seconds left to play for a 47-45 lead. Hayes had driven to the basket in the last 10 seconds, but his shot was deflected by Yarbrough, who was fouled after getting the rebound. Lake Forest managed just eight points in the third quarter to fall into a 34-34 tie after leading 28-21 at halftime. Hayes' pair of free throws with 35 seconds left to play created a 45-all tie.
