Girls Soccer Season Preview: Experienced Leadership Paces Scouts

Twelve seniors, numbers work in Lake Forest's favor.

Last Year’s Record: 7-11-3 

Last Year’s Highlights: The Scouts finished fourth in the North Suburban Conference in 2010. They lost in the regional semifinals. 

Top Returning Scouts: Leading Lake Forest this year will be returning varsity players Morgan McConachie, Haleigh McPeek, Hannah Nedeau, Kasey Quon, Holly Wark, Katherine Cook, and Katherine McCauley.

Leading Newcomers:  New to the Lake Forest roster are junior along with freshmen Ginny McGowan and Lucy Edwards. 

Season Outlook: With 12 seniors on the roster, the Scouts have the benefit of experience, leadership and depth. “We seriously have 15 to 18 girls vying for starting positions,” Lake Forest coach Ty Stuckslager said. His biggest concern this year will be “trying to learn a new system and trying to keep everybody happy and excited with 25 girls on the roster.”
