Lake Bluff Caucus Seeks New Members

Register by March 5 to participate in upcoming school board candidate interviews.

 

The Caucus is a diverse, nonpartisan association devoted to sourcing, evaluating, and nominating the best candidates for the School Boards of District 65 and District 115.

Membership is open to registered voters of six geographic sections (http://www.lbschoolcaucus.org/map.html) within District 65. Per the Caucus bylaws, voting privileges require a six-month active membership.

New Caucus delegates must be registered by the March 5 meeting to participate in upcoming school board candidate interviews (conducted in September and October 2012) to select nominees for the April 2013 School Board elections. Volunteers should be knowledgeable about district policies, needs, challenges and strengths, and possess a commitment to accurately represent the concerns of the entire taxing district.

Candidates should have a strong relationship with the community, are willing to devote the time to attend monthly meetings, and would like to become an effective team member to select school board candidates who seek to develop a stronger relationship between the school district and the public it serves, send an e-mail to: secretary@lbschoolcaucus.org.
