Between cast members, tech crew, set construction, props, costumes, makeup and other jobs, nearly 2/3 of the student population of Lake Bluff Middle School is involved in the production. Many parents and teachers are volunteering their time designing and building sets, sewing costumes, assembling props and more.

Rehearsals on a rotating list of scenes and roles are being held daily, and set tweaking and painting continues, including work on some exciting but hush-hush technical effects.

Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, recreated in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren, and remade yet again in 1997 starring Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella is now transporting a new generation to its miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true. As adapted for the stage with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits.
