Who’s Next: Lake Forest (13-10 overall) hosts Libertyville at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 14) and visits Lake Zurich at 7:30 p.m. Friday (Feb. 17).

The Bottom Line: Lake Forest fell behind 12-2 after the first quarter and had an uphill battle playing catch up the rest of the way on Senior Night. The Scouts closed the gap to 33-26 after three quarters, but the Patriots maintained the lead by matching Lake Forest's 18-point, fourth-quarter output.

Scouts Top Performer: Peter Grumhaus took home first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.83) and second on the 500 freestyle (4:39.37). 

Other Notable Scout Performances: Diver Andrew Marsh grabbed second with 374.55 points. Bryan Bunning snared third in the 100 butterfly (:52.42) and fourth in the 100 backstroke (:54.13). Colin Rowe also managed third in the 100 freestyle (48.65) and fifth in the 50 freestyle (22.34). Bogdan Balteanu nabbed fifth in the 100 breaststroke, and Peter McCormick also touched sixth in the 100 butterfly (55.23). The Scouts' 400 freestyle relay of Rowe, Bunning, Balteanu and Grumhaus placed second in 3:14.51 and the same quartet collected third in the 200 medley relay. The 200 freestyle relay of David Hayes, Thomas Remissong, McCormick and Daniel Smith placed fifth (1:33.66).

Who’s Next: Lake Forest hosts the Sectional meet Saturday.

The Bottom Line: Lake Forest looks to try and qualify as many individuals from the Sectional - and in their own pool - as they can for the following weekend's State Meet. Hopefully home cooking works in their favor.
