Lake Forest Academy's Lozicki In Midst of Stellar Season

In only his first year, Michael Lozicki has become a star at
Through the first 19 games of the season, Lozicki has been on a tear registering 35 points via 24 goals and 11 assists on the varsity hockey team. His performance has helped the Caxys race out to a remarkable 17-2-3 record.
“He’s (Lozicki) a great player and he works hard,” said “He has a great work ethic and is able to see the ice really well.”

Lozicki’s play this season has been a huge factor as to why the Caxys are disposing of their opponents as easily as they have been this season. Lozicki is quick to credit his stellar performance to his center, Tyler Madeley.
“I would have to owe most of my success to Tyler because he is a great passer and has helped me with most of my goals this season,” said Lozicki.

Lozicki grades his own play as average so far this season. “I feel like I could have played better than I showed in some games this season,” he said.
Which means he's only going to get better.
“There is definitely room for improvement,” said Seputis. “He’s only a freshman. He still has another three years of high school after this and a lot of time to make himself a better player."
Both Lozicki and Seputis agree that “moving the puck better and creating more odd man rushes” is an aspect that Lozicki and his teammates must work on to reach the next level.
Consider he only began playing hockey five years ago, beginning his love for the sport in his native Tampa, Fla. While hockey is not the most popular of sports in Florida, Lozicki says it was his “love for the game and its fast pace” that drew him to it.
During the offseason, while Lozicki is not participating in lacrosse, he will be rigorously working to get stronger.
“I really need to get stronger both upper body and lower because I wish to play at a high level of hockey later on in my career,” he said.
As Lozicki continues to make himself a better left winger, he said he would like to try out playing center since it would help him “see the game in a different way.”
