Lake Forest High School is Watching You

Details of Lake Forest High School's video surveillance is available on the Internet, uncovered the Gazebo News.

The use of surveillance cameras on the campus of Lake Forest High School has come into question after the Gazebo News reported finding two websites detailing the video system, which was installed following a 2006 referendum.

District 115's Director of Communications Anne Whipple told the Gazebo News there are signs indicating surveillance, but would not go into specifics for security reasons.

According to exacq.com, "The exacqVision system at Lake Forest High School transcends common security and surveillance applications."

On another website, SourceSecurity.com, Brad Balonick, the school's information technology systems coordinator, is quoted as saying, "The addition of Arecont Vision's megapixel camera solutions allowed us to get better picture quality from cameras that cost less than competing VGA cameras."
