Lake Forest High School's Spaghetti Dinner and Holiday Concerts Set Dec. 11 Date

The Lake Forest High School Music Department Citrus Pick-Up will be at West Campus, 300 S. Waukegan Road, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 4) and Sunday (Dec, 5)

There will be a regular meeting of the Lake Forest Community High School District 115 Board of Education at 7 p.m. Dec. 6, at LFHS West Campus, 300 S. Waukegan Road.

Dec. 7 will be a Late Start Day for LFHS students with classes beginning at 9:50 a.m. and buses running 2 hours later than normal schedule.

The Lake Forest High School community is encouraged to save the date of Dec. 11 for the 25th annual LFHS Spaghetti Dinner and Holiday Concerts. Spaghetti dinner and concert tickets are available on-line at www.LFHSapplause.org. The Band and Orchestra Holiday Concert will begin at 3 p.m. in the Raymond Moore Auditorium, followed by the spaghetti dinner with open seating in the cafeteria from 4:45 -6:45 p.m., ending with the Choral Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. in the Raymond Moore Auditorium.

The class of 2016 registration process for the 2012-13 school year has begun with informational sessions for parents of eighth graders. These sessions are taking place through December. More information can be found at www.lfhs.org.  Class of 2016 parents and students are invited to LFHS for Curriculum Orientation Night from 6-9 p.m. Jan. 25, 2012 at Lake Forest High School, 1285 N. McKinley Road.

The deadline for the early graduation application is Dec. 12. After all graduation requirements are met, special consideration will be given for early graduation. Students must complete the Early Graduation Request Form with detailed information on why they wish to graduate early and receive approval in writing from their parents and the counselor. Counselors will provide a copy of graduation progress. More information can be found at www.lfhs.org.

There will be an Sophomore Parent Seminar “Understanding Test Results-PLAN Interpretation Night” at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 in the Raymond Moore Auditorium at LFHS East Campus, 1285 N. McKinley Road. Counselor Brad Naughton and others will explain the interest inventory and PLAN Test results from the October test. Students and parents are encouraged to attend. There will be a re-cap of this meeting from 9-10 a.m. Dec. 15 in room 113, LFHS East Campus.

Winter Break is Dec. 19 through Jan. 2, 2012. School resumes Jan. 3.

The LFHS Transcript Office will be closed over the Holidays so students need to submit their requests for transcripts for college applications according to the following deadline schedule: college applications with a Jan. 1, 2012 deadline must be in the LFHS Transcript Office by 3:10 pm Dec. 5. College applications with a Jan. 15, 2012 deadline must be in the LFHS Transcript Office by 3:10 p.m. Dec. 16 in order to meet deadlines.
