Lake Forest, Lake Bluff Students Earn Dean's List Distinction

The following local students were among more than 1,900 from Wake Forest University who made the Spring 2012 Dean's List: John Clark of Lake Bluff; Jennifer Dent of Lake Bluff; Elizabeth Skinner of Lake Bluff; Emmaline Stockert of Lake Bluff, and Helen Sidebotham of Lake Forest.

Katherine Logan of Lake Bluff was among the students named to the spring term Dean's List at Augustana College. Logan is a junior majoring in biology.

Three Lake Forest students were named to the Dean's List at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. They include Samantha F. Draper, Cale J. Wardell and Liam J. Connell. Students whose grade point averages were 3.68 or higher were named to the Dean's List.

Two Lake Forest students were named to the Dean's List at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. They include Alexander Calcutt and Christopher Schick. Both are majoring in accounting. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.

Three Lake Forest residents have been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the spring 2012 semester. They include: Ryan William Atherley, who is majoring in financial management; Samantha Lee Culbertson, who is majoring in pre-business, and Shannon Elizabeth Smales, who is majoring in psychology. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Konrad Henry Siebert of Lake Forest was named to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Deans' List/Honor Roll for the spring semester of the 2011-12 academic year. Siebert is a junior finance major.

Madeleine Michel Culbertson of Lake Forest has been named to the President's List at Clemson University for the spring 2012 semester. Culbertson is majoring in animal and veterinary sciences. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.

The following local students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. They include: Michele Dinella of Lake Bluff, who is majoring in accounting; Kristopher Decker of Lake Bluff, who is majoring in biomedical sciences; Leland Warren of Lake Forest, who is majoring in computer engineering; Emily McDonough of Lake Forest, who is majoring in elementary/middle education; Gerard Warren of Lake Forest,who is majoring in political science; Allyson Genger of Lake Bluff,who is majoring in psychology, and Eric Decker of Lake Bluff, who is majoring in public relations.

Karena Briggs of Lake Forest has been named to the 2012 spring semester Dean's List at Ohio Wesleyan University. To qualify for Dean's List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

Local students taking courses at Parkland College in Champaign, Ill., were named to the college's Dean's List for spring semester 2012. These students have earned a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 grade scale for the semester in which they are being honored or, if they earned less than 12 hours in the semester, have achieved a 3.5 cumulative GPA for 12 or more hours earned during the academic year.They include: Brandon M. Collazo of Lake Bluff and Madeline M. Brewster of Lake Forest.

Emma Hindman, a resident of Lake Bluff, was named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester at Dominican University. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.8 (on a 4.0 scale), based on a full-time enrollment of 12 credit hours.

Villanova University named the following Lake Forest students to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester: Louise Campbell is enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Grace Williams is enrolled in the College of Engineering. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5.

The following Washington and Lee students have earned Dean's List status for the winter 2012 term: Caton Brewster and Morgan Luttig, both of Lake Forest. Dean's list status represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale at the Lexington, Va. campus.

Marcus Sudac of Lake Forest was named to the Spring Term 2012 Dean's List at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn.
