Lake Forest Makes ‘Most Challenging High School’ List

LFHS ranked as the 46th most challenging in Illinois.

Lake Forest High School ranked 46 on a Washington Post list of the state’s most challenging high schools. Nationally it is ranked 1,298. Fewer than 10 percent of high schools nationally made the list.

That's considerably lower than it's been on the list in past years. Last year it ranked 30 in Illinois and was higher than that the two previous years.

The ranking uses the number of college-level tests given at the school divided by the number of graduates.
