Lake Forest Schools Want Your Input

The boards of education are holding public meetings on the long-term mission and vision for the schools.

The following is from the Lake Forest schools: 


The Boards of Education, in partnership with the administration, parents, staff and community are in the process of setting a long-term Mission and Vision for Districts 67 and 115 and need your input. Your ideas are important as we set the course for the future of our districts.

Lake Forest Elementary District 67

Monday, February 24, 10:00am - 12:00 pm OR Wednesday, February 26, 7:00-9:00 pm

Lake Forest High School District 115

Wednesday, February 26, 12:00-2:00 pm OR Thursday, February 27, 7:00-9:00 pm

All meetings will be held in the Administrative Center Board Room, LFHS West Campus, 300 S. Waukegan Rd.

Please join us and share your ideas as we initiate this important planning process.

How about a curriculum that focuses on reading, writing and arithmetic? These basic skills must be mastered to compete in today's world. Any doubters? Have your child write you a short letter, you know, no spell check allowed.

I suspect the current curriculum does, indeed, focus on the 3 R's.
