The Final Score: Lake Forest 23, Highland Park 0
Scout’ Star Performers: Wide Receiver David Glynn may just have emerged as Andrew Clifford’s favorite target. The 6-foot-2 junior receiver caught six passes for 123 yards, including an impressive 40-yard touchdown in the second quarter that made it 6-0 Scouts. .
Giant Star Performers: Running Back Andrew Sledd accounted for almost all of Highland Park’s offense. The senior running back rushed for 105 yards on 14 carries for the Giants.
Other Notable Scout Performances: The defense. In both games the past two seasons against the Giants, the Scouts have allowed just eight points. That's pretty good.
Other Notable Giant Performances: Highland Park's defense kept the Scouts out of the end zone for the first quarter. They played well at times, just got burned by the big play.
Who’s Next: The Scouts travel to Lakes at 7:30 p.m. Friday while the Giants travel to New Trier at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The Bottom Line: If not for numerous Scouts penalties, the score would not have been this close. Lake Forest is establishing themselves as a legitimate power this season while Highland Park will have to go back to the drawing board.
