Other Notable Scout Performances: Kicker Baylor Broughton converted two of three field goals, hitting from 27 and 26 yards in the first half. He tried one more from 47 against a cross wind and it was short. New punter Evan Boudreaux, a freshman, squibbed one first half punt, but recovered nicely to average 33.5 yards for six boots.

Who’s Next: The Scouts (6-2 overall, 4-1 in the NSC Lake Division) visit Libertyville at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21 to close out the regular season. Libertyville dominated Warren, 38-6, Friday night to improve to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the NSC Lake Division. Libertytville needs the win to solidify a place in the State playoffs, but the Scouts need to right their ship as well and gain a decent seed heading into State.

The Bottom Line: Lake Forest missed Jordan Beck's presence at quarterback. Andrew Clifford seemed heckled by the Lake Zurich defense, completing only 12 of 25 passes for 105 yards and 1 interception. Beck's left elbow injury will likely keep him sidelined as well against Libertyville. The offense did control the ball a little more than 3 minutes longer than Lake Zurich. However, without being able to keep the Bears off-balanced with a more effective passing game, Lake Zurich was able to key on running back Owen Williams, who managed a season-low 51 yards on 18 carries. Lake Forest receivers were led by Hub Cirame's three catches for 45 yards.
