LFHS Girls Tennis Team Remains on Top: Day Two

The Lake Forest High School Girls Tennis Team maintain their first-place ranking at day two of the state competition. Tomorrow will be the final day.

The Lake Forst High School Girls Tennis Team had another fantastic day today, with the team wrapping up with a total of 27 points, putting them in first place at the end of the second day. Hinsdale Central High School is currently in second place with 25 points and New Trier is in third place with 24 points.

Catherine Orfanos played Alex Chatt of Lyons High School today and lost 6-2, 6-0. Elizabeth Zordani played Lyons High School's Kristen Thoms and Zordani won 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. She'll play Tiffany Chen of Naperville Central High School tomorrow in the quarter finals.

Maddie Lipp and Christina Zordani played against New Trier's Kirstie Woodbury and Cammy Frei. LFHS won that round 6-3, 6-1. Tomorrow they'll play Anna Zelechonok and Katrine Zhadovich of Glenbrook North.

Taya Zoubareva and Victoria Falk played Rolling Meadow's High School Allie Kemph and Jackie Kemph, which Zoubareva and Falk won 7-5, 6-0. Tomorrow they'll play Tiffany Chen and Katie Lee of Hinsdale Central.

Woodlands Academy's Caitlin McCarthy played Stevenson High School's Danielle Vasiliev. McCarthy put up a great fight, but she lost that round 6-0, 6-0.

Tomorrow is the last day of the State Tournament - congratulations to all of the talented ladies on an awesome job so far!
