School Monitors Chosen for 2011-12 School Year

Sea receives Mayor's Award for art talent.

Lake Forest Academy has launched a new website.  The URL remains the same, www.lfanet.org. The new website features more streamlined navigation, bold photography, and a 360-degree virtual tour of campus.

The following LFA students who were named school monitors for the 2011-12 school year: Rich Barber, Natalie Bernstein, Ariana Bhatia, Kai Hsiang Chang, Sarah Clark, Spencer Friske, Carolyn Gillette, Jess Gunderson, Nyalia Lui, Allie Matherne, Greta Nagel, Alex Pankhurst, and Haley Wilhelm. The students assist with the opening and closing of school, New Family Day, Healthy Choices Day, Red Ribbon Week, and others. As part of the opening of school, prefects will help coordinate and organize new student activities during orientation and during the fall semester through the Peer Mentor Program.

Ellena Sea, a senior, received the Mayor’s Award from the mayor of Lake Forest for an altered book she had on display at the Deerpath Gallery Student Art Exhibition in March.

Lake Forest Academy will host its annual Spring Gala: "A House United" on April 30 in The Cressey Center for the Arts.
