Coach Phil LaScala took time to talk to Patch after Wednesday’s 69-45 victory over Hersey about what the Scouts will do to prepare for the Mustangs.

The North Suburban Conference rivals have met twice before this season with Lake Forest winning Nov. 30, 69-61, before falling to the Mustangs Jan. 24, 62-56. Both teams won on their home court with today’s contest the first on neutral ground.

In both games, the trio of Carter Bass, Evan Boudreaux and Sam Downey paced the scoring as they did in the Lake Forest win over Hersey. The winner advances to the Waukegan Sectional at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
