Scouts’ Star Performer: collected the seventh place medal in the 500-yard freestyle with a season best time of 4:35.39.

Other Notable Scout Performances: clocked his best time of the year in the 100 backstroke to finish eighth in 51.8. took home ninth place in the 500 freestyle with another season best time of 4:37.23. 

Who’s Next: The Scouts finished the season as the state’s 22nd best team. 

The Bottom Line: Lake Forest coach Cindy Dell coached the team from the preseason to swim its best “on the Saturday of the State Meet.” Malone, Bunning and Grumhaus did just that, according to her.
