Scouts’ Star Performers:      Peter Tarwid, Brice Polender and Craig Campbell won their singles matches. 

Other Notable Scout Performances:            Doubles winners were the tandems of John Zordani and Scott Christian along with Connor O’Kelly and Jordan O’Kelly.

Who’s Next:   The Scouts entertain Mundelein at 4:30 a.m. today. 

Baseball 

The Final Score:        Stevenson 12, Lake Forest 6 

Scouts’ Star Performers:      Liam Howe, Peter Gruenes, J.R. Reimer, Sam Templeman and Luke Johnson all went 2 – for – 4 at the plate.  

Who’s Next:   The Scouts travel to Stevenson at 4:30 today for a rematch. 

The Bottom Line:      Lake Forest took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and built it to 3-0 in the third. After the Patriots tied the contest at 3-3 in the fifth, the Scouts rebounded with three more runs in the bottom of the frame to take a 6-3 advantage. Stevenson took the lead with a pair of runs in the sixth and erupted for six more in the seventh. 

April 29 

Boys’ Track 

The Final Score:        Libertyville 75, Lake Forest 70 

Scouts’ Star Performers:      Scotty Powell won the 100-meter dash, the 200 and teamed with Austin McIlvane, Jack Blumeyer and Nick Giordano to win the 4x100 relay. Giordano also won the 400.

Other Notable Scout Performances:            Other winners were Billy Bund (800), Mark Myers (1,600), Kevin Fu (triple jump), Carson Sperry (high jump) and the quartet of Daniel Kriss, Charlie Moss, Bryan Africk and Erik Swisher in the 4x200 relay.

Who’s Next:   The Scouts compete at the Lake County Invitational at 4:30 p.m. Friday in Lake Zurich. 

Soccer 

Final Score:    Loyola Academy 2, Lake Forest 0 

Scouts Star Performer:         Mackenzie Mick won the team’s Squidward Award. 

Other Notable Scout Performances:            Coach Ty Stuckslager singled out Allie Banta, Bailey Ehrens, Mackenzie Adams, Carly Hoke, Adrian Walker and Brooke Green for their contributions. 

Who’s Next:   The Scouts travel to Lake Zurich at 4:30 p.m. today. 

The Bottom Line:      Lake Forest is now 5-1-6 for the season. 

April 27 

Girls’ Lacrosse 

The Final Score:        Lake Forest 16, Oak Park-River Forest 6 

Who’s Next:   The Scouts entertain Libertyville at 6:15 p.m. today. 

April 25 

Girls’ Track 

The Final Score:        Lake Forest scored 66 points to finish second in the Lake County Invitational. 

Scouts’ Star Performers:      Helen Schlachtenhaufen won the 1,600-meter run and teamed with Elise Wong, Elle Chody and Lisa Bennatan to take the 4x800 relay. Carly Schmidt won the pole vault. 

Other Notable Scout Performances:            Others joining the all county honor list were Katie Bertram, Claire Yandell, Erin Malles Ali Westphal, Elizabeth Woidat and Diana Mzyk.

Who’s Next:   The Scouts compete in the North Suburban Conference meet Thursday at Stevenson.
