"Sound of Music" Performances Set for Feb. 24-26

Lake Forest Academy’s Winter Weekend will take place Feb. 18-21. No classes will be held on Feb. 18 or Feb. 21.

Lake Forest Academy Performing Arts will present “The Sound of Music” on Feb. 24-26 in the Cressey Center for the Arts. The show will begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 24-25, and at 2 p.m. Feb. 26. The cast includes LFA students: Charlotte Ahern, Bailey Ayers, Carina Baker, Rich Barber, Calin Cave, Sean Clavey, Kemmer Cope, Laura Davey, Brandon Eason, Caroline Hale, Morgan Jones,  Hannah Jung,  Jay Kim, Emily Kulas, Clara Lee, Kate Lee, David Lin, Nyalia Lui, Emily Meyer, Mimi Moses, Zoe Murken, Paulina Murrieta, Greta Nagel, Justin Nakasu, Hannah Olinger, Madeleine Pattis, Jessie Rosso, Allison Schreuder, Jack Schweighauser, Chris Shadek, Andrea Shen, Amanda Shi, Chris Siemasko, Matt Stevens, and Haley Wilhelm. Additionally, several children of LFA faculty members are appearing in the production including: Anasofie Plambeck, Julia Plambeck, Jason Smith, and Angela Zhou. LFA’s Model UN delegation represented the country of Uruguay Feb. 3-6 at the Model United Nations of the University of Chicago at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. Students met in committee meetings with 2,300 other high school students from Thursday evening through Sunday morning seeking to resolve international issues. Students on the LFA delegation were Zunaira Arshad, Nadeem Bandeely, Kiran Chilamkurti, Sandy Cho, Graham Harwood, Mike Hong, Yousuf Kadir, Wook Jae Kim, Beverly Li, James Paige, Alex Pankhurst, Lauren Pugliese, Abby Ripoli, Andrea Shen, Shine Sun, Nancy Wang, Cody Watson, and Arwah Yaqub.  This was Harwood’s fourth year as a participant in Model UN. Faculty sponsors were Kathy Barton, Bill Dolbee, and Chris Dozois.
