Special Service Tax Impact on Lake Forest Homes to be Explored at Meeting

North Shore – Barrington Association of Realtors will host forum Wednesday night.

The North Shore – Barrington Association of Realtors will host a forum Wednesday night (Oct. 18) to educate property owners of the Lake Forest subdivisions known as Amberly Woods, Middlefork Farms, Regents Row, and Willow Lake Farms about the Special Service Area tax levied against their properties to generate money for Lake Forest School District 67.

The meeting will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Elawa Farm (southeast end of complex, classroom), 1401 Middlefork Drive, Lake Forest

Over the course of the Special Service Area, each property owner in these subdivisions will pay between $9,580 and $15,600 or more – this is above and beyond impact fees paid by the developer and annual property taxes paid to the School District, according to the North Shore – Barrington Association of Realtors.
