Leading Newcomers: New to the Scout varsity this year are Scott Christian, Connor O’Kelly and Peter Tarwid. All three are “accomplished tournament players” according to .

Season Outlook: Leighton thinks “unbounded energy and enthusiasm” are Lake Forest’s strengths this year. Leadership from returning veterans will provide a push as well. According to Leighton, this is the first time in 10 years the Scouts do not have a returning state qualifier. He sees that as one of the team’s challenges along with playing in a sectional with Deerfield and Highland Park. Both teams finished ahead of the Scouts at last year’s State Meet.
