Three Join LFHS Wall of Fame

Lake Forest High School honors graduates David Crane, Thomas Reinhold Mohr and Rob Peklinka

Three diverse Lake Forest High School graduates—David Crane, Thomas Reinhold Mohr and Rob Pelinka—have one thing in common.

All three were added to the Wall of Fame today during ceremonies at the school.

Between fighting disease all over the world, transforming the energy industry and representing athletes like Kobe Bryant all three have made their mark on the world.

A member of the class of 1982, Mohr lives in Kazakhstan and manages a regional tuberculosis prevention and treatment project there and in four other central Asian countries that were once part of the Soviet Union.

After graduating from the University of the Pacific, Mohr studied in Kenya and ultimately became involved with youth and international development projects in South America as well as working with Doctors Without Borders in Azerbaijan, Afghanistan and Sierra Leone.

Crane graduated from Lake Forest in 1977 and went on to earn degrees from Princeton University and the Harvard Law School. Today he is president and chief executive officer of NRG Energy.

NRG is the largest competitive energy generation company in the United States, according to a release from Lake Forest High School. Crane has led NRG on a path to cleaner energy with enough generation to power 40 million homes.

Pelinka went from Lake Forest to the University of Michigan where he obtained degrees from the business and law schools. While there, he played on three final four basketball teams, including one championship winner in 1989. He was named NCAA scholar athlete of the year in 1993.

After leaving Michigan, Pelinka stayed in athletics founding Landmark Sports Agency and representing athletes like Bryant and Kevin Durant among others.
