VIDEO: Post-Game Interviews After Lake Forest's 16-6 Loss to Lake Zurich

The Scouts lose for the first time since opening week; NSC Lake Division championship still in sights.

It's something football team hasn't felt since August: what it's like to lose.

Lake Zurich broke Lake Forest's six-game winning streak Friday night with a 16-6 North Suburban Conference Lake Division win on homecoming night for the Bears.

The Scouts played the entire game with Andrew Clifford at quarterback, replacing injured starter Jordan Beck,

Beck told Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Patch after the game that he has torn ligaments in his left elbow. His status for Friday's game against Libertyville or for the rest of the season is unclear.

First, we caught up with Lake Forest head coach Chuck Spagnoli right after the final whistle. He explained how the Bears were able to burn the Scouts defense on a long pass late in the game, which proved to be too much to overcome.  (VIDEO)

Once Lake Forest got back to their locker room, we spoke with defensive lineman Tyler Funk about the Scouts forcing three turnovers, which wasn't enough to win the game. (VIDEO)

Next, we grabbed cornerback Ben Warren, who said despite the loss, the Scouts are already thinking about Libertyville. A win over the Wildcats next week and they are still conference champions. (VIDEO)

Finally, we spoke with wide receiver Luke Bernardi, who talked about the offense's struggles, managing just two field goals all night.  (VIDEO)
