The Bottom Line: Lake Forest stormed to a 25-4 win in the first set before Coach Ray Werner substituted freely in the second set. The Scouts reestablished themselves in the third to secure the win.

Scouts’ Star Performer: led Lake Forest with an even par 36 for the nine-hole match.
Other Notable Scout Performances: Alex Applebaum shot a 37 while fired a 39. added a 40 to round out the Lake Forest scoring.
Who’s Next: The Scouts will once again divide the team Saturday with one group heading to the Zion-Benton Invitational and the other to the Giant Triangular in Highland Park.
The Bottom Line: The Scouts continued their dominance on the links with several players shooting at or near par.
FIELD HOCKEY

Scouts’ Star Performer: scored Lake Forest’s lone goal.
Other Notable Scout Performances: Mackenzie Adams added an assist on Mayer’s score.
The Bottom Line: Though the Scouts had scoring opportunities, they could not convert in losing their first regular season game since 2008. It was their first loss of the season.

Scouts’ Star Performers: , Emily Cavalaris and Lauren Graves each scored goals to lead Lake Forest to victory.
Other Notable Scout Performances: Kelsey Adams, Margot Meyer and Morgan Dever contributed to the team effort with assists.
Who’s Next: The Scouts entertain Glenbard West at 2 p.m. Saturday on the Front Lawn.
The Bottom Line: After Oak Park took an early 1-0 lead, the Scouts tied the score five minutes later on Carberry’s goal and took the lead on Cavalaris’ tally.
