Meet the New Superintendent Wednesday

and Boards of Education will host a reception to welcome incoming superintendent and his family from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday (April 4) in the Board Room at LFHS West Campus, 300 S. Waukegan Road, in Lake Forest.

will join the district on July 1, succeeding Harry Griffith, who is retiring June 30.

Simeck received a bachelor's and master's degree from Eastern Michigan University, and is completing a doctorate in educational administration at Michigan State University. He previously served as superintendent in Dansville, Mich. (2003-2007).

Simeck and his wife, Mari, have three children, Gabrielle (sophomore), Max (8th grade), and Lilia (4th grade). Mari is also a Fulbright Scholar and spent a full year in Paris as part of a Teacher Exchange Program.
