Scouts’ Star Performer: Henry Lamp was the go-to attacker for the Scouts, notching a team-high 15 kills.
Other Notable Scout Performances: Kris Hawkins had 11 kills and 8 service points. Andrew Carr matched his season-high with 21 assists. Eric Decker also registered 10 digs.
Who’s Next: Lake Forest plays at Saturday's (April 9) Springfest Tournament at Glenbard East.
The Bottom Line: The Scouts and Sequoits played close volleyball throughout. The Scouts showed improved execution with their offensive attack and strong composure as they won a close second set. Lake Forest did struggle covering blocked attacks and deep corner attacks by Antioch.

GIRLS' SOFTBALL

The Final Score: Carmel Catholic 8, Lake Forest 2
Scouts’ Star Performer: Samantha Culbertson contributed offensively by advancing runners in critical situations and made a great backhand play at third.
Other Notable Scout Performance: Cat Perino reached base three times. Megan Salm was 2-for-4 with an RBI double.
Who's Next: Lake Forest entertains Waukegan at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday (April 6).
The Bottom Line: The Scouts scored early and held the lead over Carmel until the bottom of the fourth inning, where a few errors on Lake Forest and a few solid hits for Carmel shifted the momentum.

GIRLS' TRACK
Date: April 5
The Final Score: Lake Forest 98, Lakes 48
Scouts’ Star Performer: Helen Schlachtenhaufen led the Scouts to victory winning a whopping three events. The freshman ran on the winning 3,200-meter relay with a time of 10:28.5, the 1,60- meter relay in 4:33.8, and the 1600 meter run with a first-place time of 5:44.
Other Notable Scout Performance: Ofelia Carmichael also contributed to the success with victories in both the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.9 seconds and the pole vault with a vault of 10 feet, 6 inches. She also competed in the discus for the first time, placing second with a throw of 98-11.
Who's Next: The Scouts travel to Saturrday's (April 9) Warrior Invitational at Waubonsie Valley High School.
The Bottom Line: Lake Forest looked strong sweeping all of the top spots in the relays. Depth in field events and the running events led to the victory.

BOYS' TRACK

The Final Score: Lake Forest 82, Lakes 64
Scouts’ Star Performer: The Scouts clinched seven first place finishes. Max Von Ohlen set the tone by winning the 100-meter hurdles run with a time of 17.2 seconds. Joe Hargitt followed with a blue ribbon run in the 400 meter dash in 54.2. Additional race wins came from Victor Capaul, who ran the 300 meter hurdles in 45.3 seconds, and the 1,600-meter relay in 3:39.9. In the field events, Chris Stoltzman sailed over 6-feet to win the high jump. Ryan Miller won the triple jump with a leap of 39-11, and Matt Miller captured both the shot put and discus with throws of 53-10.5 and 152-7, respectively.
Other Notable Scout Performance: Second place finishes came from Billy Bund in the 3,200; Brad Miller in the 100 hurdles; Brad Stambolic in the 300 hurdles, and Kevin Fu in the long and triple jump.
Who's Next: The Scouts visit the Prospect Relays Saturday (April 9) at Prospect High School.
The Bottom Line: Overall, the Scouts showed their depth and versatility.
