5th Annual GLASA 5K Twilight Run/Walk/Roll
The Twilight Run / Walk / Roll & Post-Race Party is the largest CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) certified 5K race in the Chicago-land area featuring disabled and non-disabled athletes competing side-by-side.
The start and finish of the race is the Gorton Community Center, with the actual race winding through the streets of Lake Forest. Multiple divisions include age group awards for runners, as well as for manual wheelchairs, racing chairs and hand cycles, ambulatory, amputee and visually impaired. Attendance at the 2011 race was 420 with additional friends, family members and supporters attending the post party.
