Lake Forest Baseball Association Slates Casino Royale Fund-raiser

The Lake Forest Baseball Association (LFBA) announces the start of its 2012 season with its annual fundraiser, Casino Royale, at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Lake Forest Club, 554 N. Westmoreland Road.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.lfba.net.  

The evening's theme, "Casino Royale", will feature tuxedoed dealers at BlackJack, Craps and Roulette tables throughout the evening.

Proceeds help the LFBA's 12U teams travel to Cooperstown for the historic baseball tournament located near the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Guests will also have an opportunity to bid on a variety of valuable Silent Auction items. Some of the featured items include:

The $75 ticket price includes the four hour casino gaming, light hors d'ouevres, an open bar with wine and beer (mixed drinks available for purchase) and the chance to bid on the auction items.

The LFBA 12U baseball players will sell raffle tickets for a chance to win a 46-inch Sony television with a PS3 player and Blu-ray. Second prize in the raffle is an Apple iPad2 and third prize is an Amazon Kindle Touch. Raffle tickets are $20 per ticket and 3 tickets for $50.

Last season, LFBA's baseball teams competed in local leagues including Mike's Memorial League and the Lake Shore Feeder Baseball League, plus tournaments including the annual Cooperstown, New York Tournament.

In 2011, three LFBA teams won the Lake Shore Feeder Baseball League Championships, in their respective divisions, and eight LFBA teams competed in the playoffs.
