Lake Forest Boys' Lacrosse Advances With Comeback Win Over Libertyville

The Scouts outscore the Wildcats 7-1 in the second half.

 The Final Score: 8, Libertyville 5

Scouts’ Star Performer: Alex Watkins scored three goals, two in the second half, both of which were game-tying goals. Lake Forest came back from a 4-1 first half deficit.

Other Notable Scout Performances: Sean Kelleher scored two goals, including one with 10:01 left in the fourth quarter, putting the Scouts in the lead for good at 6-5.

Who’s Next: Lake Forest (17-5 overall) faces nemesis New Trier in an Elite Eight matchup at 5  p.m. Tuesday (May 31) at New Trier High School in Winnetka.

The Bottom Line:  "We weren't playing as aggressive as we needed to in the first half. In the second half, we ratcheted up the aggressiveness," said Lake Forest coach Dan Maigler.
