Lake Forest Harrier Rugby Seeks Players for Coming Season

Next conditioning workout is Sunday at Lake Forest College.

 

Lake Forest Harrier Rugby has begun its winter conditioning workouts wit the next one scheduled for 8 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 5) at Lake Forest College Sports and Recreation Center.

Registration is open, and current players and new prospects are encouraged to sign up and prepare for the 2012 season. Registration can be done online at www.lfrec.com and navigating through the Athletics portion of the brochure.

Associated with the , Harrier Rugby is providing experienced and newly interested athletes alike with the ability to develop and play in the Illinois High School League. The club is part of the Illinois Youth Rugby Association, and players are registered with USARUGBY.

The Lake Forest Harrier Rugby Club has a number of players who play with the Illinois Tornadoes, an Illinois Select team that last year competed successfully against other state Select teams, as well as a tour to Ontario, Canada.  This year, the Tornadoes will tour throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
