LFHS Grad Earns College Football Honors

Andy Shaw, class of 2015, earned second-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honors as a punter for the Big Red.

A native of Lake Forest and a graduate of Lake Forest High School, Shaw earned second-team status after posting the best punting season at Denison in 31 years. He averaged 40.5 yards per punt with a long of 60 yards. Fourteen of his 37 punts went inside the opponents' 20-yard line and nine resulted in fair catches. Shaw finished second in the NCAC in yards per punt.

Denison finished the year at 7-3, which were the most victories in a season by a Big Red football team since 1986. The offense is ranked third in NCAA Division III in time of possession. The offense had the ball for an average of 34:43 per game.
