Scout Boys' Lacrosse Team Falls to Spartans

Lake Forest High School ends regular seaon with a 12-4 loss. Heads to playoffs.

Glenbrook North High School's boys lacrosse team was already up by five goals at halftime, leading Lake Forest, 7-2, at Friday's regular season finale in Northbrook. The Spartans would eventually walk away with a 12-4 victory.

Lake Forest scored fast in the third quarter and made a big push to keep the Spartans on defense for most of the third. It didn't stop Glenbrook North from owning a fast break to score back-to-back goals midway through the quarter.

The Scouts scored early again, in the fourth quarter, but the Spartans answered right back with two more goals.

"I think it was a good way to end out our season on a high note," boy's lacrosse assistant varisty coach Mike Synek said. "We came off a tough loss against [Saint Viator High School] so this was a team win. It's a good way to end the season, going into playoffs."
