Lake Forest High School baseball, softball and soccer teams win while girls' lacrosse squad stumbles.

Tennis 

The Final Score:        Lake Forest finished second in the North Suburban Conference Tennis Meet with 29.5 points.

Scouts’ Star Performer:       Brice Polender won the No. 2 singles championship. 

Other Notable Scout Performances:            All three doubles teams—Camron Bagheri and Connor O’Kelly (No. 1), Greg Frauenheim and Jordon O’Kelly (No. 2) along with Parker Marsh and Craig Campbell (No. 3)—finished second. Scott Christian finished fifth in No. 1 singles.

Who’s Next:   The Scouts compete in the Warren Sectional at 1 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Baseball 

The Final Score:        Barrington 3, Lake Forest 1 

Scouts’ Star Performer:       Luke Johnson went 2 – for 3 – at the plate and scored his team’s only run  

Who’s Next:   The Scouts travel to Lake Zurich at 4:30 p.m. today. 

The Bottom Line:      Lake Forest grabbed the lead, 1-0, in the bottom of the third inning before the Broncos tied it in the fourth and took the lead in the sixth. 

Girls’ Lacrosse 

The Final Score:        Montini 14, Lake Forest 4 

Who’s Next:   The Scouts compete in the Sectionals Thursday against Deerfield. 

May 9 

Boys’ Track 

The Final Score:        Lake Forest finished 10th in the North Suburban Conference Meet with 28 points

Scouts’ Star Performers:      Nick Giordano finished fourth in the 400-meter dash and teamed with Scott Powell, Austin McIlvane and Jack Blumeyer to take second in the 4x100 relay finishing .01 out of first. Powell, McIlvane and Blumeyer teamed with Graham Weinberger to finish fourth in the 4x200 relay.

Other Notable Scout Performances:            Kevin Fu ended up fourth in the triple jump while Connor Adams did the same in the long jump. Mason Woods grabbed fifth in the triple jump.

Who’s Next:   The Scouts compete in the Buffalo Grove Sectional Thursday. 

May 8 

Soccer 

Final Score:    Lake Forest 5, Grant 1 

Scouts Star Performer:         Courtney Ardell scored a goal and got the team’s Squidward Award for her effort in the game. 

Other Notable Scout Performances:            Brooke Green, Val Wood, Adrian Walker and Paige Bourne added the other four goals. 

Who’s Next:   The Scouts open Regional play against Wauconda at 4 p.m. today in Antioch. 

The Bottom Line:      Lake Forest fell behind early and trailed 1-0 at halftime before becoming more productive in the second half. The Scouts are 7-2-6 for the season. 

Softball 

The Final Score:        Lake Forest 11, Round Lake 1. 

Scouts’ Star Performer:       Sarah Porter struck out six batters and walked none for the win while helping herself with a pair of doubles. 

Other Notable Scout Performances:            Steph Coats smacked a double and drove in three runs while Maddy Gailey also had three RBI on a base hit.

Who’s Next:   The Scouts travel to Lake Zurich at 4:30 p.m. today.
