Lake Forest will be in the mix for one of the three trophies awarded at the state tournament along with North Suburban Conference rival Stevenson, Deerfield, New Trier and Hinsdale Central, according to Deerfield Coach Josh Leighton. He is the son of Lake Forest mentor Corky Leighton.

Should the Scouts take the team title they will rule Illinois boys’ tennis along with the girls’ team, which earned its second crown in three years in October.
