Summer Friday series continues with an appearance by Kristina Riggle, author of the novel “Keepsake” at 7 tonight (July 20).
will hold a wine tasting in conjunction with the event.
“Keepsake” is a moving and heartfelt story of what happens when the things we own become more important than the people we love; it centers on Trish, a divorced mother of two and a compulsive hoarder. As the novel unfolds, Trish’s hoarding has become so out of control that her young son is injured in an indoor landslide of harmless possessions and Child Protection Services have come knocking at her door.
Desperate, Trish reaches out to her estranged and obsessively-immaculate sister, Mary. The two sisters struggle to come together after years of resentment and bitterness, and attempt to finally, in every sense of the words, clean house.
The author will discuss the novel and sign copies of her book, which will be available for purchase.
This event is free and open to the public; participants of the wine tasting must be 21 or older and will be asked to furnish appropriate identification.
