The Ideologue's State of the Union

The State of the Union is precarious.

Since Jan 2009 when President Obama took office the following trends indicate a weakening of the union.  The labor force participation rate has fallen from 65.7% to 62.8%, the lowest it's been since the Carter administration.  The number of working age people not in the labor force has risen from 80 million in Jan 2009 to 91.8 million.  The number of people on Social Security disability has risen from 7.8 million to 8.9 million.  The number of people on food stamps has risen from 33 million to 47.6 million.

Our people are giving up and becoming dependent on government for nearly everything.

The stock market has been inflated with $1 trillion dollars per year of fabricated money from the Fed, which means that market indexes are pure fantasy and can no longer be used as a guide to the health of the market.  The Federal government is distorting the markets further by competing in the private sector venture capital market.  This decreases competition and slows technological advances.

The national debt has increased from $10.7 trillion to $17.4 trillion, enslaving our children with debt.  The unfunded liabilities of the Federal government are now estimated to be over $100 trillion.

Radical Islam was not pacified by the election of President Obama as promised.  Our standing in the world has diminished and we have become a laughing stock in some quarters of the world.

President Obama has not brought the American people together as he promised.  Instead he has balkanized us through race warfare, class warfare, and gender warfare... all in an attempt to create blocks of victims who will call on the Federal government to vanquish their imaginary enemies.

President Obama has tapped every single phone line in the United States.  Nixon was impeached for tapping one phone.  The Orwellian surveillance State is now a reality and it is being used to fight back against the Democrat's political opponents through the IRS and the NSA.  The Attorney General has made it clear that he will use selective enforcement of the laws to take revenge on the administration's enemies.

People who break our laws and enter the country illegally are held up as saints, while those who demand that our laws be enforced are labelled as racists.

Our education systems teach that the solution to every problem is more government.  Our youth do not understand how we became strong and free, and therefore do not know what they are losing.

The ironically named Affordable Care Act has raised the cost of health care for everyone who was not a friend of the administration, who were granted subsidies or waivers.  Millions have lost their current plans and are not sure how to replace them with a broken ObamaCare website.  ObamaCare is not so much a law, but a mechanism to give the President complete control over one sixth of the American economy.  Our health care is now determined by decree from the White House, and that is subject to change on a day-to-day basis.

Our main stream media outlets and academic institutions have lost any semblance of independence and support the current administration unconditionally no matter how bad things get.

The Federal Government is no longer bound by Constitutional constraints in any way.

In summary, the state of the union is that we have entered a period of fiscal insanity, widespread dependency, lawlessness, infighting, suffocating surveillance, and encroaching fascism where those who have the duty to challenge these abuses of power have put their unquestioning support behind those abusing the power.  Anyone who tries to fix our problems is targeted for destruction by the government, media, and academia.

We are in deep trouble.
