Communities to Engage Through Movie Viewing in August

Bridges organization creates event as part of wellness efforts.

 

On Aug. 22, , and Knollwood residents will have the unique opportunity to view the same movie on the same day.

There will be two public showings: at 1:30 p.m. at the , 100 E. Old Mill Road, in Lake Forest, and at 6:30 p.m. at , 400 Hastings Road, in Lake Forest. Refreshments will be provided, and informal discussion will follow. The movie is suitable for everyone aged 10 and over.

The catch?

The title of the movie is a secret.

Watch for more information around town. On signboards. In parades. In newspapers and online media, and at bridges3.org. The name of the movie will be announced in early August.

Bridges, which was formed in 2010 to build stronger community connections, is comprised of representatives and residents in leadership positions of school, youth and other organizations geared to:

  • Supporting and promoting the community’s positive values
  • Facilitating dialogue to explore diverse viewpoints and find common ground

Those who can't make it to the public screenings are encouraged to rent the movie and watch it with friends and family once the movie title is announced. There will be online discussions to participate in as well.
