Lake Forest Fashion Benefits Women in Africa

Mustard Seed raised $3,600 for SowHope, an organization the pulls women from extreme poverty through wellness.

Judy Kohl, who grew up in Africa operates Mustard Seed in Lake Forest with the help of volunteers and donates profits from the store to organizations that help women and children, Wilmette Life reported.

In May, the store, which sells mostly fair-trade certified products, held a fashion show and raised $3,600 for SowHope, an organization that pulls women from extreme poverty through wellness, the newspaper reported.
