Lake Forest, Lake Bluff Students Come Together To Help Save-A-Pet

Fun Fair proceeds aid no-kill shelter.

Lake Forest High School’s Red Cross Club, other interested students from the high school and Lake Bluff Middle School are sponsoring a “Fun Fair” to raise funds and awareness for Save-A-Pet Adoption Center, a no-kill animal shelter in Grayslake, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (May 28) at Lake Bluff's Village Green.

There will be children’s games, prizes, baked goods, cotton candy, music provided by the band "At Transitions" and a raffle. Save-A-Pet will also have a booth to micro-chip your pet for $30.

Proceeds and donations will go directly to Save-A-Pet which due to the extreme economic difficulties has had many more pets turned in to them by owners who can no longer afford to keep them.

This combination of an influx of unwanted animals and reduced funding has left Save-A-Pet in danger of closing if they cannot raise enough funds to support the shelter.
