Smart Farm Frozen Zucchini Race is Sunday

Race starts at 10 a.m. at Citizens Park, with or without snow.

The zucchinis may be a little soggy on Sunday, but will go on.

Organizers are hopeful that the 20 percent chance of snow on Saturday evening comes through, creating a snowshoe course.

“We are hoping for a miracle. It’s supposed to snow on Saturday. If not, we’ll have a 5K race,” said Kathy Gabelman, Smart Farm board member.

“It’s a fun event and we have really good prizes. One hundred percent of their registration fees will go to  Smart Farm to grow food for food pantries and educate people in the community about sustainable gardening,” Gabelman said.
