VIDEO: Equestrian Connection Provides Special Link Between Horse, Rider
Hippotherapy offers chance at individual growth in bonding with horse.
Founded in 2001, Equestrian Connection provides a variety of services for children and adults with special needs.
Based in the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff area, Equestrian Connection has created a powerful connection between human and horse called hippotherapy. This program increases the individual's core strength, flexibility, and balance as well as leadership and self-confidence.
This weekend, the Equestrian Connection hosted its second annual . The event featured a match between Jet Aviation and Villa Del Lago, and a charity raffle.

However, the highlight of the day was the Red Stallion Drill Team. The Drill Team provides an opportunity to showcase the benefits of hippotherapy and the enjoyment that comes from therapeutic horseback riding and being part of a team.
In addition to their year 'round programs, Equestrian Connection will also host a number of other events, including Marty's Barn Party in October.
