Opened in 1962, Cherokee Elementary serves students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Situated in the middle of a residential area, Cherokee fits perfectly into District 67's concept of a neighborhood school. The school is also served by the Spirit of 67 Foundation, a not-for-profit organization comprised of parents of District 67 students who are dedicated to raising funds and acquiring resources to enhance their children's educational experience.
