Established in 1920, the League of Women Voters (LWV) is a national organization that grew out of the National American Woman Suffrage Association. The League of Women Voters of Lake Forest and the League of Women Voters of Lake Bluff merged in 1989 to create the LWV-Lake Forest/Lake Bluff. The organization is dedicated to promoting politcal awareness and advocacy on a local and national level.
