Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital was originally founded as the Alice Home Hospital, on the Lake Forest College campus, in 1899. Since then, it has grown to the non-profit community hospital on the former grounds of the Dick family farm that it is today. The hospital is affiliated with multiple colleges and universities in the area. It also has a campus in Grayslake.
