Would this club please hand a disclaimer to all the retailers who sell cigarettes that the cig buttsRead More are not to be thrown out the window. Why are more smokers driving in their cars with the window open? Reason listed below: 1. New cars don't have an ashtray so the ashes are flicked out the window and later so does the butts. 2. Are the drivers trying out from olympic event of how far they can toss out their cig butts? I remember back in the day when that teary eyed (Native American) Indian who was standing on the side of the road when someone throw out their trash. It seems like smokers are part of the "I don't care generation", because if they would care then no one would have to clean up.

Great idea to get the dogs out of the shelter and into the community, where they can be seen.

I recorded channel 19 from 9:40-12:30 to watch the live coverage of the LB Parade. But when I gotRead More home to watch the coverage channel 19 was showing a school board meeting instead. Uh? Last night I turned on channel 19 to see when they are going to rebroadcast the parade, but what happened to the PowerPoint presentation slides of old? Could someone tell me why the parade wasn't covered live when in gazebo news and patch lake forest they had a link to watch it live. Someone told me that LF who video tapes the parade decided they didn't want to do it?

I believe there was a technical glitch with the live broadcast. Here is a link to the parade video:Read More http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fYknP5Q3Js&list=UUuOgO_dW_54u_8luRgyhVwQ&index=1&feature=plcp

Cristel, thank you for posting this story and for shining light once again on the reality of ourRead More family's story. We are one of many out there who have gone through this and the biggest message we can try to convey is that this epidemic is not going to go away anytime soon. Every parent needs to take this as seriously as their child learning math, science or history, etc.

I HIGHLY recommend that anyone connected with the issue of drug use and abuse...be theyRead More parents...doctors...law enforcement...drug users themselves...read a fascinating book that was recently released titled: Memoirs of an Addicted Brain by Marc Lewis PhD. Mr. Lewis was a one time drug and heroin addict who went on to become a PhD Neuroscientist. This book is absolutely fascinating .He writes in a biographical style that is easily understandable to the layperson yet is full of scientific information and findings. I read this book based on a recommendation from a friend who has had addiction issues in her family. I have not had her challenges...but now have a greater appreciation for the problems she faces within her family. Again...this is a must read for anyone dealing with drug issues!
