The Church's active and vibrant community includes a Catholic school and youth ministries and education. They have an abundance of social and religious programs, including the COR Youth Ministry, the Guild of St. Mary, the Metro847 College & Young Adult ministry and their religious education program.
The Church of St. Mary's provides several unique programs for Catholics in Lake Forest and the surrounding Chicago area, such as their pastoral care for divorced Catholics and SPRED, a religious education program designed for those with developmental disabilities.
Weekend mass services are held on Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 7:30am, 9am, 10:30am, 12pm, and 6pm. They also offer weekday services.

They offer many programs to their congregation, including children's religious education, scripture studies, a bridge group, garden group, youth ministries, and a men's group. Serving the community, they run a food pantry, assist a local Waukegan parish, help in a soup kitchen and help those in need in the community.
Masses are held Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 8am, 10am, and 11:30am in the new Church, and daily at 8am in the old Church.

Lillie Romeiser is the youth minister. COR Youth Ministry provides special ministry events for high-school-aged young adults, such as the summer Appalachia trip, a bible study and a soup kitchen ministry. It also offers spiritual retreats for youths to explore their faith. COR meets every Sunday in the parish center from 7pm to 8:15pm.
