Lake Forest School District 67 has more than 2,000 students attending three elementary schools for grades…More kindergarten through fourth, and a middle school broken down into fifth/sixth, and seventh/eighth. In 1954, Deer Path Middle School was built followed by Sheridan (1956), Everett rebuilt (1957) and Cherokee (1962).
The District's 150-year history can be seen through the old Quinlan School, which was built in 1861 at the time the town of Lake Forest. It was chartered and later moved and then became a private residence.
Average elementary class size is 21 students per classroom. There is a ratio of approximately 13 students to every teacher at District 67. The administrator to pupil ratio is 150:1.
